About the book

This book documents for the first time the exciting and dramatic story of DSV. The company was founded in 1976 by nine needy hauliers and a bankrupt entrepreneur, and is today Denmark's largest transport and logistics company with more than 20,000 employees worldwide.

It is the story of hardy entrepreneurs who, like the ugly duckling in the fairytale, were scolded because they thought and acted outside of the norm. It describes two visionary leaders who were not afraid to take up the fight against the big boys. Together they laid the foundations of this major transport group which today is among the world leaders in its field and also one of Denmark's largest businesses.

The book reveals how a small group of people from the low roads and gravel pits of the island of Sealand succeeded in making it to the big time. It could almost be described as a modern business fairytale, packed with drama, power struggles and amusing anecdotes.

The book, which is richly illustrated, will be published at the end of May 2012 and will be available at a price of DKK 399.00 including VAT (Delivery charges not included).
